Denver Plastic Surgeon Deploys Sophisticated Lasers in Modern Beauty, Anti-aging Treatments
Date:4/2/2010

Ground-breaking laser technology helps to rebuild collagen loss due to aging, and is also highly effective for hair removal, skin redness and pigmentation loss

Denver, Colo. (PRWEB) April 2, 2010 -- A Denver plastic surgeon has added two ground-breaking medical lasers to his practice that redefine the limits of anti-aging and beauty treatments available to patients.

Dr. Jeffrey Raval, MD, FACS, a double board certified facial plastic surgeon and owner and Medical Director of Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics of Denver, said the new lasers greatly expand his ability the fight the effects of aging, while at the same time offering his patients minimal or no down time during treatment regimes.

The new Sciton laser is used to perform The Ultimate Laser Peel, the MicroLaserPeel, the Profractional, CLeARSCAN™ and the BBL Photofacial, procedures performed by Dr. Raval to address the inevitable loss of natural collagen in the skin as people age.

Collagen is what the body uses to make young skin look clean and fresh, says Dr. Raval, and as it diminishes over time the result is sagging skin and wrinkles. Using one of the many adaptable tips available for use on the Sciton laser, Dr. Raval and his highly trained staff of medical aestheticians can adjust the laser wavelength to customize treatments per each patient’s needs and actually help the body rebuild natural collagen.

One of these laser tips is the SkinTyte laser that deeply heats dermal collagen, promoting partial denaturation and contraction of collagen. The heat also initiates the body’s natural healing process which encourages new production of natural collagen resulting in firmer skin. During treatments—a series of two to three are recommended over a month’s time—the powerful cooling mechanism maintains the surface of the skin at a cool temperature.
