HealthCare Volunteer

HealthCare Volunteer is a program partially funded by the CDA Foundation that helps low-income families meet the requirements of AB 1433, the kindergarten oral health assessment law that requires all school children entering kindergarten to be seen by a dentist. HealthCare Volunteer has launched a statewide free dental screening program to help connect kindergarten students to dentists willing to provide free screenings in their office. Dentists can register to volunteer and will be provided with dental screening supply kits through the program. The HealthCare Volunteer program recently expanded, making it easier for patients and dentists to connect and increase the number of low-income children that can receive care.
