Demand Rises For Holistic Alcohol & Drug Rehab, Australian Addiction And Trauma Treatment Centre Enquiries Increase 50%

Natural healing advocate and Director Mr. David Godden says, “Over the past 12 months we’ve seen a 50% jump in enquiries for those seeking an alternative approach to the existing medical model.”

Alongside the high levels of stress experienced by many in western society today, the need for effective healing therapies is also on the rise. The Australian Addiction and Trauma Centre, which is the only of its kind to offer rural surrounds opposed to a clinical hospital setting, says their most successful service is the “integrated treatment plan, designed to best suit the individual.” Mr. Godden adds, “this is by far the most requested service and at this stage we are unable to meet demand.”

As a result, the centre has seen their enquiries increase by 50% over the past year. That demand is a result of growing awareness, plus the alcohol & drug rehab centre’s presence at “a medical centre in Byron Bay which focuses on integrated health care.”

Mr. Godden says the major benefits of using holistic therapies are “its ability to be dynamic, the plan can change based on the outcomes of regular meetings between therapists and clients.” He also says it “treats all the underlying issues rather than just focusing on one specific concern.”

Lastly, the Director emphasizes that “the absence of initial chemical intervention is really the cornerstone of our program. We believe medicating is the last step, not the first. It allows for the person’s mind and body to attempt to heal itself first.”

The rising demand for natural healing modalities over the past 12 months has increased enquiries by another half at The Australian Addiction and Trauma Centre. As a result, the centre has had to employ additional psychologists, naturopaths and an Art Therapist.
