Delmarva Foundation Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Joy Hogan Rozman, RN, M.Ed., Assumes New Post

EASTON, Md., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Delmarva Foundation for Medical Care announced recently that Joy Hogan Rozman, R.N., M.Ed., will serve as the company's new Chief Operating Officer. In this position, she will oversee three major areas of the Easton-based, non-profit healthcare consulting organization: performance assessment and validation; data integrity; and interventions. A senior executive with more than 20 years executive leadership and management experience, Ms. Rozman joined Delmarva on November 19.

"Throughout her career she has demonstrated the ability to achieve maximum performance and transformational change as a results-oriented, inspirational leader," commented Dr. Christian E. Jensen, Delmarva's President and CEO. "We know she will contribute greatly to our future growth."

Experienced in both the public and private sectors, Ms. Rozman has an extensive background in public health and human service settings in the United States and Europe including 19 years of QIO experience with the Virginia Health Quality Center (VHQC). As the Chief Executive Officer of VHQC for 11 years, she successfully led the organization through six non-competitive major contract renewals. Under her guidance, VHQC was an unprecedented three-time winner of the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award for Virginia. Ms. Rozman is also the first--and only--Chief Executive Officer in the industry to be appointed to the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners. She is the recipient of the 2004 Distinguished Executive Leadership Award from the James Q. Cannon Endowment for excellence in advancing the field of quality improvement.

Ms. Rozman previously served in several leadership roles as a Department of the Army civilian both in the Tidewater, Virginia area and in Germany, and a large multi-facility health system in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
