Dell Children's Medical Center to install IMRISneuro in expanded neurocenter
Date:6/16/2008

>

At Dell Children's, the MRI machine will move between an operating theatre and an adjacent diagnostic suite providing multi-functional capabilities to the hospital's neuroscience team. To ensure the widest patient access to the technology, future plans include the addition of a second operating room that will also be served by the same IMRIS movable MRI scanner.

Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas is a member of the Seton Family of Hospitals, the leading provider of healthcare services in Central Texas, with 23 clinical locations throughout the region. The Seton Family of Hospitals includes the only Heart Transplant Center in Central Texas; the busiest Level II Trauma Center in the state; and the first two Designated Stroke Centers in Texas to receive a Gold Seal of Approval by the Joint Commission. The Seton Family of Hospitals has been awarded four Magnet Designations, the highest award for nursing excellence given by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The ANCC is an independent subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, the nation's largest organization of nursing professionals. In FY 2007, Seton, a member of Ascension Health, the largest not-for-profit health network in the nation, provided more than $282 million in charity and community benefit to Central Texans.

About IMRIS: IMRIS is a global leader in providing fully integrated, advanced surgical imaging solutions. The company's flagship product, IMRISneuro, utilizes patented technology that allows a high field MRI scanner to move in to the operating room on demand, providing imaging during the surgical procedure without compromising patient safety.
