Delaware Hospice voluntarily submitted to the rigorous standards of quality established by the Joint Commission for healthcare organizations, earned accreditation in 1997, and has maintained that accreditation as an assurance of an extraordinary level of quality in care to its patients and families.
Without the strength of Susan's leadership, no doubt the organization would not be the same, and it was by chance that she came here. In 1987, Susan Lloyd found a "teeny tiny ad," buried in the back of the Philadelphia Inquirer, seeking an Executive Director for Delaware Hospice. She applied "on a whim," thinking she was pretty young at this point in her career for this position."
