Deane F. Johnson Center Receives Ronald and Nancy Reagan Award

LOS ANGELES, May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Jeffrey Cummings, Medical Director of The Deane F. Johnson Center for Neurotherapeutics at UCLA, received the prestigious Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Award for the exceptional work he and his team devote themselves to, discovering new treatments and methods of care for patients with Alzheimers and other neurological disorders.
In his speech of acceptance at the annual National Alzheimer's Gala in Washington, Dr. Cummings applauded the tireless work of the center's co-founder Kate Edelman Johnson, who established the foundation in 1999 in memory of her late husband, former Time-Warner President Deane F. Johnson, who died from this dreadful disease.
