“Choose a Healthy Lifestyle” campaign helps online community with wellness goals.

Plano, TX (PRWEB) May 12, 2010 -- Addressing the country’s obesity crisis, President Obama has declared May to be National Physical Fitness Month and the newly introduced “Healthy Choices Act” legislation is bringing long-needed attention to this complex problem. President Obama, in his proclamation, is asking citizens to “recommit to making healthy choices “. DealTaker.com has stepped up to support the President’s challenge with their “Choose a Healthy Lifestyle” campaign during the month of May.

DealTaker.com’s “Choose a Healthy Lifestyle” is a month long campaign to encourage its 250,000 plus members to make healthy choices. Throughout the event, visitors and the DealTaker community will have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks for developing a healthy lifestyle. Community forums will be established to allow users to share their journey and provide encouragement to others. One of DealTaker’s own, Lisa Desjardins, has taken on the challenge to move to a healthier lifestyle. “I knew it wouldn’t be easy but I didn’t want to become a statistic. I cleaned my house of all unhealthy foods and established a strict exercise routine.“ After 3 months and losing 35lbs Lisa says, “I feel absolutely amazing but most importantly I feel strong and in control.”
