DeSilva+Phillips, Mediabankers client Lebhar-Friedman, Inc. announces the sale of Dowden Professional Publications, the Dowden medical journals publishing division, to Quadrant HealthCom Inc. Included in the sale are OBG Management, Current Psychiatry, Journal of Family Practice and Mayo Clinical Proceedings.

(PRWEB) December 24, 2009 -- DeSilva+Phillips, Mediabankers client Lebhar-Friedman, Inc. announces the sale of Dowden Professional Publications, the Dowden medical journals publishing division, to Quadrant HealthCom Inc. Included in the sale are OBG Management, Current Psychiatry, Journal of Family Practice and Mayo Clinical Proceedings.

In announcing the sale, Roger Friedman, President of Lebhar-Friedman, said that the decision to sell the Dowden journals is about focus: “The sale of these properties enables us to concentrate our media strategies on digital media, including our websites’ lead-generation products, and the customization of our skills and experience as a major B2B publishing company.” He added, “We are now better able to concentrate our resources on higher growth areas and lessen our corporation’s dependence on print-advertiser-based products.”

Mr. Friedman also affirmed his belief that “under the direction of Quadrant’s President, Steve Stoneburn, the former Dowden publications will be better positioned to grow and to serve their markets.”

DeSilva+Phillips acted as financial advisor to Lebhar-Friedman in this transaction.
