DePuy Pinnacle Hip Lawsuit News: Bernstein Liebhard LLP Notes Release of New Study Tying Elevated Metal Ions to Metal-on-Metal Hip Failure
Date:7/12/2014

New York, New York (PRWEB) July 12, 2014

The research, which appears in the July 2nd issue of The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, looked at 597 patients who had received unilateral Articular Surface Replacement prostheses at least twelve months earlier. The blood metal ion levels of patients who had experienced failure of their hip were compared to the non-failure patients included in the group. Those who had suffered hip replacement failure had significantly higher blood cobalt and chromium ion levels than patients with non-failed arthroplasty. *

“Our Firm is representing numerous plaintiffs in Depuy Pinnacle lawsuits who suffered premature failure of a metal-on-metal version of the device. Many of our clients also tested positive for excessive levels of chromium and cobalt in their blood,” says Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a nationwide law firm representing victims of dangerous drugs and medical devices. The Firm is currently offering free Pinnacle hip lawsuit reviews to individuals who may have been injured following implantation of the metal-on-metal version of the hip system.
