De Caro and Kaplen Brain Injury Attorney Michael V. Kaplen Named Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America

New York personal injury attorney, Michael V. Kaplen, senior partner in the Pleasantville, New York law firm, De Caro & Kaplen, LLP, has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA). Kaplen who concentrates his practice on representing individuals with personal injuries caused by car wrecks, bus crashes, truck crashes, unsafe buildings and medical malpractice is a vice president of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and past president of the Brain Injury Association of New York State.

He is also the current chair of the New York State Brain Injury Services Coordinating Council and president of the American Academy of Brain Injury Attorneys He is a past chair the American Association for Justice, Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group. Kaplen regularly speaks at Brain Injury Association and Legal association seminars on effective trial techniques in representing victims of head injury.    

LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
