David Sapio Launches Zounds Hearing Franchise
Date:9/2/2014

Warwick, R.I. (PRWEB) September 02, 2014

As an industry transformation expert, it was David Sapio’s job to analyze shifts in an industry and predict change. Fortunately for him, that valuable skill has stuck with him over the years, enabling him to identify markets that are eager for change — such as the hearing aid industry.

“My knowledge of the hearing aid market indicated it was ripe for better customer service, better technology and lower costs to the consumer,” Sapio explained. As a result, he took matters into his own hands and launched a new Zounds Hearing franchise to meet the need, leaving a 35-year career in the aerospace and defense technology industry.

Zounds was created to help the 60 percent of older adults who suffer from hearing impairment. Zounds tests for hearing loss and fits corrective hearing aids for anyone with mild, moderate or severe deficiencies. Zounds’ products offer the latest in sound technology at an affordable price, excelling in noise reduction, voice clarity, feedback cancellation and recharge ability.

A franchise broker recommended Sapio work with small business financing firm Guidant Financial to fund his franchise. In a process Sapio described as “excellent and smooth,” Guidant helped Sapio use his existing retirement funds to pay for his franchise without triggering a taxable distribution. Now, Sapio is already looking to expand with another Zounds location in Westerly.

For Sapio, the best part of small business ownership is having the independence to control his own destiny. Outside of business, Sapio is an antique car enthusiast and enjoys skiing and sailing.

The Warwick Zounds, located at 988 Centerville Rd., is open now. To learn more about the hearing aid services they offer, call 401-822-HEAR (4327), email dasapio(at)hotmail(dot)com or visit ZoundsHearing.com/RI.
