To Lead Life Insurance Wholesaling to Company's Retail Distribution Channel
NEW YORK, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- David Kahal has joined AXA Equitable as National Sales Manager for its life insurance wholesale organization headquartered in Farmington, CT. The announcement was made today by Jamie Shepherdson, Executive Vice President and head of the company's life and annuity wholesale distribution organization. Mr. Kahal will report to Marian Sole, Senior Vice President.
Mr. Kahal is responsible for leading the wholesale distribution, sales and business development of AXA Equitable life insurance products to AXA Advisors, LLC -- the company's retail network of approximately 6,000 financial professionals nationwide. His focus is on helping AXA Advisors financial professionals grow their business through life insurance product education, coaching, sales support and service. Mr. Kahal leads a team of 11 wholesalers.
For Mr. Kahal, the appointment marks a return to AXA, where he spent almost eight years as a District Manager and financial professional with AXA Advisors. From 1998 to 2003, he was a National Sales Manager, during which time he piloted the company's initial life insurance wholesaling efforts.

Previously, Mr. Kahal was Senior Vice President, National Sales Manager with LifeSource/Time Financial, a BISYS company. He was a co-founder and owner of LifeSource Executive Benefits and Insurance Service, a specialized brokerage general agency focused on distribution to wirehouses and regional broker dealers.
Mr. Kahal earned a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
