Dallas Bariatric Surgeon Offers Multiple Options for Patients Considering Weight Loss Surgery in a Rough Economy

In the current economic climate, many Americans are monitoring their pocketbooks closely and are only spending money on what that they consider to be absolutely essential. Dallas weight loss surgeon David D. Kim believes that it’s very important for overweight and obese men and women to receive treatment to improve their health, and he is trying to make weight loss surgery affordable to patients in this tough economy by offering reasonable prices and multiple financing options.

Dallas, Texas (Vocus) November 7, 2009 -- For the millions of Americans are overweight or obese, losing weight is often a top priority. However, even though most of these men and women realize how important their health is, they may feel as though they’re not able to afford weight loss surgery in these difficult economic times. Dr. David Kim oversees the Live Life Again Center, a practice offering bariatric surgery in Dallas and the surrounding region. He says the 30% of Americans who qualify for weight loss surgery should know that there is no need to put their health at risk by postponing treatment.

Dr. Kim feels that bariatric surgery has the power to change, and even save, the lives of individuals who are overweight or obese. “Morbid obesity is a disease that affects the entire person- both body and mind. Surgical options…have been proven to help on a permanent, long-term basis in helping them get rid of these medical problems.”

According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, obesity causes at least 400,000 excess deaths each year in the United States. Dr. Kim says obesity can affect indivi
