DaVita Named to List of 'Best Places to Work in Los Angeles' by the Los Angeles Business Journal

Kidney Care Provider to Be Honored at August Luncheon

DENVER, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DaVita Inc. (NYSE: DVA), a leading provider of kidney care services for those diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD), today announced the company will be featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal's 2009 "Best Places to Work in Los Angeles" - a list that includes 67 companies chosen for their impact on the region's economy, its workforce and area businesses.

Companies are included in the "Best Places to Work in Los Angeles" list based on an employee survey measuring the employee experience, and an evaluation of workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. DaVita(R) was recognized earlier this year as the first and only FORTUNE 500(R) on the annual WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Work Places(TM).

"We believe that DaVita is a community first and a company second - this recognition is a testament to how hard our teammates work every day to make this a special place," said Dennis Kogod, Chief Operating Officer of DaVita.

The complete list - along with profiles of each company's benefits package and corporate policies - will be published in the August 2009 issue of the Los Angeles Business Journal. For more information on the "Best Places to Work in Los Angeles" program, visit
