SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Data Designs, Inc. ("PDD"), a specialized Contract Research Organization ("CRO") that provides data management and statistical services to the biotech, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries, today announced that it has received a substantial investment from DW Healthcare Partners ("DWHP"), an exclusively healthcare-focused private equity firm, to promote the continued success of the company.

Founded in 1994, PDD provides data management, SAS programming, and statistical services for pharmaceutical and biotech clinical trials. PDD has a broad range of therapeutic expertise with a concentration in oncology. PDD's customers are small to medium-sized pharmaceutical and biotech companies that rely on PDD for high-quality control and analysis of the critical data collected throughout a trial process. PDD has developed a strong reputation within the marketplace for quality assurance, compliance, rapid turnaround times, and superior client service. Many of PDD's customers use the Company exclusively for their data management needs, which can span several different studies for each biotech/pharmaceutical company. PDD is led by Kelli Greene and Pete Sandgren who each have over 15 years of data management experience and are considered thought-leaders in the industry.

"This is a very exciting time for PDD," said Kelli Greene, President and CEO. "DWHP is the ideal partner as we look to increase our market share and expand our service offering."

"Elite CRO services are a core need of the growing CRO market, particularly in the market sector PDD serves," said Dr. Jay Benear of DWHP and new Chairman of the Board. "DWHP possesses the strengths necessary to augment PDD's potential, and we are eager to move forward."
