"DTC marketing has been practiced successfully for more than a decade and over this time it has grown significantly to become a very important component of the pharmaceutical industry's success," Bob Ehrlich, chairman and chief executive of DTC Perspectives, said. "Now that DTC is firmly established, we as an industry need to recognize those individuals who have shaped DTC advertising and significantly contributed to the communication of important healthcare information directly to patients.
