DST Health Solutions Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- DST Health Solutions, a leading provider of software and services to health plans and physician practices, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification, a designation demonstrating its commitment to quality product development. DST Health Solutions received its certification from SRI Quality System Registrar, an independent auditing firm, for meeting the guidelines set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally developed and accepted set of quality system requirements.

"Our goal was to bring consistency and rigor to the software development process," said Tom Hurley, senior vice president of technology, DST Health Solutions. "We chose ISO as our foundation for this effort, which helped us implement a quality-driven development process that supports our commitment to client satisfaction."

DST Health Solutions began its implementation of ISO 9001:2008 standards with the goals of implementing a consistent software development process across all product lines; improving product delivery time; improving the quality and reliability of products; reducing re-work; improving customer satisfaction; and implementing a continual improvement system.
