Reamstown, PA (PRWEB) August 01, 2013

DORMA USA Inc. has significantly expanded its U.S. presence by acquiring Door Controls, Inc., one of the largest independent automatic door distributors in the nation. The acquisition strongly reinforces DORMA’s current strong installation and service presence in the Eastern region of the country.

The service sector is continuing to grow throughout the country as buildings age and need to be retrofitted for new technologies that will enable increased access control and energy efficiency. The partnership with Door Controls, coupled with the recent acquisition of security solutions provider Rutherford Controls International, will allow DORMA to provide a broader spectrum of product and services to the customer.

“The door industry continues to provide us with a strong platform and one in which we want to accelerate our capabilities to provide our customers innovative door technology and premium access solutions and services,” commented DORMA AME AREA President Wil VandeWiel. Reed Buettner, CEO of Door Controls added, “The combination of Door Controls, Inc. and DORMA provides an excellent strategic and cultural fit. We are thrilled to join the DORMA Group.”
