DNC: Bush Republicans Care More About Politics Than Our Nation's Kids
Date:12/12/2007

WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Democratic National Committee Press Secretary Stacie Paxton issued the following statement after President Bush vetoed a bill that would give health care to low-income children:

"In a country as wealthy as ours, it is immoral to deny health care to our children. President Bush cares more about politics than our nation's kids, and all of the Republican presidential candidates offer more of the same. The fact is, Republicans' priorities are not America's priorities. That is why the American people will elect a Democratic president who will put them first once again. The last thing America wants is a third Bush/Cheney term."
