Cystinosis Research Network, a non-profit organization funding research for the genetic disorder cystinosis, unveils new communication strategy and website.

Lake Forest, IL (PRWEB) January 29, 2009 -- The Cystinosis Research Network, a non-profit organization aimed at supporting and funding research for the rare genetic disorder cystinosis, has launched a new brand and enhanced website at www.cystinosis.org. The project included the creation of a new logo and tagline, website design and development, and the creation of an e-mail marketing strategy which will improve the organization's efficacy as the voice of the cystinosis community.

President and Executive Director Christy Greeley said CRN is the only cystinosis support organization which provides the full breadth of support activities so vital to its community: Research, Education and Family Support. "The new website design and the new logo and motto, "Dedicated to a Cure. Committed to our Community" showcase CRN's vision and mission to the world". CRN partnered with Altos Marketing Group to strengthen its communication strategy and to develop the new branding and website. The communication strategy emphasizes the organization's unique position as a resource for families and researchers. CRN's new logo, two interlocking puzzle pieces, was designed to represent the importance of collaboration between the cystinosis and the research community coming together to develop a cure for the disease.

The new website, launched on January 7, includes a wealth of information for doctors and for people diagnosed with cystinosis, including comprehensive studies, medical resources, and access to support groups. CRN and Altos staff collaborated to reorganize the site's content into a user-friendly and visually appealing format. The new website also incorporates secure on-line donation and shopping functionality. Altos also engaged in the development of a new CRN email marketing solution. The email solution will enable CRN to communicate more effectively about research developments, grant opportunities, special events, and volunteer openings.

"CRN is proud of all of the advancements achieved by partnering with Altos Marketing Group. We feel fortunate to have benefited from their design expertise, cutting-edge technology, and tremendous follow-through," says Paula Shal, Vice President, Education and Awareness.
