"Happy Wife, Happy Life" is a saying that seems to ring true according to husbands whose wives have had plastic surgery. With the growing acceptance of plastic surgery among mothers after childbirth, Cruise Plastic Surgery takes a look at the transformative journey from the husband's perspective.

Newport Beach, Calif (Vocus) April 29, 2010 -- Dr. Joseph Cruise takes a look at the plastic surgery experience from the husband's perspective and offers suggestions to help ensure a supportive and positive surgical process for both husband and wife.

Commonly, when a woman brings up the subject of having a cosmetic procedure it can be met with initial apprehension from her husband.

As one husband states: "I felt she was perfect just the way she was, and I was worried about the general 'What if' concerns that go along with having surgery.”

It is this reason that Dr. Joseph Cruise of Cruise Plastic Surgery feels it is crucial to have the husband come along to the initial consultation so that a lot of the common concerns can be addressed.

"Our plastic surgery consultations are very informative and can be quite emotional,” says Dr. Cruise. "It is important for the husband to be there, not only to understand what his wife's concerns are, but also to help guide her in the decision making process.”
