Crucial OTC Marketing Issues to be Addressed by New OTC Perspectives Division of DTC Perspectives, Inc.
Date:1/7/2009

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- DTC Perspectives Inc., the leading DTC training, publishing and consulting company and producer of the DTC National conference and DTC Perspectives Magazine, announced today the creation of the OTC (Over-the-Counter) Perspectives Division. OTC Perspectives will serve the unmet needs of OTC Marketers, and provide educational conferences, industry forums and publications all designed to focus on the myriad of emerging issues OTC Marketers face in today's economic crisis and complex regulatory and consumer environments. The OTC National Conference June 4-5, 2009 in Boston will be the first conference of its kind created to address these unique and urgent needs.

"We recognized there really is no forum for OTC Marketers to gather and gain crucial learning on the core issues facing the industry," Bob Ehrlich, chief executive of DTC Perspectives Inc., stated. "OTC marketers are facing unprecedented challenges including: increased pressure to do more with less in our troubled economic times, intensifying SKU and vendor rationalization, private label and price pressures, as well as increasing regulatory pressure, potentially leading to the same regulations that Rx product marketers must contend," continued Ehrlich. "Also, with $50 billion of Rx products facing patent expiration by 2012, it is imperative that OTC Marketers optimize and evaluate their Rx-to-OTC switch plans."

These issues, in addition to the issues all marketers now face such as creating true brand engagement amidst an explosion of media channels, will be addressed by a world-class faculty at the premier OTC National Conference and in the debut issue of OTC Perspectives Magazine.

The OTC National conference and OTC Perspectives magazine will debut June 4-5 2009 at the Boston Sheraton hotel. For more details, please vis
