Creig and Carla Northrop Donate $250,000 to Howard County General Hospital Campus Development Plan
Date:6/12/2013

Columbia, MD (PRWEB) June 12, 2013

Creig and Carla Northrop, husband-and-wife residents of Howard County, Md., made a $250,000 donation to Howard Hospital Foundation (HHF), which provides philanthropic support to Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. The donation supports the Howard County General Hospital Campus Development Plan (CDP), a completed 233,656-square-foot expansion and renovation project.

“We are passionate about giving back and investing in our community. It is the most important thing we can do. I live where I work, I work where I live, and I was very fortunate to grow up in this community,” said Creig Northrop, a Howard County native, local realtor with The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate and father of two children born at Howard County General Hospital.

“The Northrops’ donation to the CDP demonstrates a deep personal commitment to work for a better community for all of us,” said Sandy Harriman, vice president of development for HHF. “Through these funds, the foundation is able to support the hospital in its continued mission to be the health care provider of choice in the region.”

In addition to donating to the CDP, Carla Northrop supports Howard County General Hospital’s Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center.

“While Howard County General Hospital serves those who live and work in Howard County, it is, in our opinion, one of the best hospitals in the country,” said Carla Northrop. “We want to see the hospital grow with the community, and supporting the hospital in this manner is our way to help ensure that the level of care we have come to expect continues for generations to come.”

The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate represents buyers and sellers of residential real estate in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., region with offices in Columbia, Clarksville, Sykesville, Rockville and Lutherville-Timonium,
