Program will focus on how a small hospital improved charge capture performance, finding $153,000 additional net revenue the first day using Craneware's Bill Analyzer
ATLANTA, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Craneware, Inc. (AIM: CRW.L), the healthcare industry's trusted provider of financial performance solutions, announced today it will present a program with Maine's St. Joseph Hospital at the annual conference of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
"Small Hospitals, Big Revenue: How a Small Hospital Enhanced Its Revenue through Automated Charge Capture" is scheduled for 2:15-3:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the HIMSS meeting at McCormick Place in Chicago. Presenters will be Lisa Killam, CPC, reimbursement charge supervisor, St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor, Maine, and Kelley Blair, MAOL, senior consultant with Craneware.
"We're pleased to have the opportunity to present with St. Joseph," said Craneware CEO Keith Neilson. "And we invite HIMSS participants to join us as we discuss the benefits our solutions continue to deliver to the facility."
Craneware's Chargemaster Toolkit(R) for automated Charge Description Master management, and Bill Analyzer for advanced claims analysis and benchmarking, helped the 112-bed non-profit community hospital improve charge capture performance and increase reimbursement levels. What's more, St. Joseph identified $153,000 of additional net revenue the first day it used Bill Analyzer.
St. Joseph chose Craneware after growing management concerns that, as coding became increasingly complex, it was ever more challenging for clinical departments to code accurately and capture all charges.
