ATLANTA, April 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Craneware plc (AIM: CRW.L), a leader in financial improvement software solutions for the U.S. healthcare market, today announced the appointment of Ronald Frank Verni as Non-Executive Director. Verni starts his appointment on May 1, 2009.

Verni was most recently CEO of Corrigo, Inc., a leading Software as a Service (SAAS) company focused on the service sector. Prior to this, he was president and CEO of Sage Software, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors of the Sage Group plc. Under his leadership, the company grew from less than $160 million in revenue to over $1 billion, from under 1,000 employees to over 5,000, and from 1 million business customers to over 2.5 million. "His experience in running highly successful, rapidly growing, international software companies will be invaluable to us as we seek to capitalize on our strong position in the U.S. healthcare market. Now in our tenth year of operation, with over $50 million of future revenues under contract, we believe our opportunity to be significant and will welcome Ron's guidance as we continue our development and growth."

"With U.S. healthcare institutions coming under increasing fiscal and legislative pressure, the potential for Craneware's financial improvement software solutions appears to be considerable," said Verni. "I am pleased to be joining Keith and the team and believe the company has an exciting future ahead."
