Kryptiq's eScriptMessenger Enables Improved Patient Safety and Office

Efficiency

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Kryptiq, the leading provider of next generation healthcare connectivity solutions, today announced the deployment of eScriptMessenger(TM) (eSM) at CoxHealth. A four-hospital organization with 55 physician clinics in the Springfield, MO region, CoxHealth is using eScriptMessenger to improve patient safety and office efficiency.

"eScriptMessenger improves our prescription processes, adds to the safety of our patients, and streamlines follow-up," said Jan Ruddell, EMR project manager for CoxHealth. "It is a simple and elegant solution to a very real problem."

CoxHealth has implemented Kryptiq's eSM to improve patient safety by ensuring legible and credible communications between pharmacies and doctors, as well as eliminating manual data entry at the pharmacy to prevent avoidable errors. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, e-prescribing could reduce some 530,000 "adverse events" that occur annually in Medicare alone. eSM also improves office efficiency through a deep integration with the GE Centricity(R) EMR, enabling the entire prescribing process to occur within existing EMR workflows.

"Kryptiq's solutions, from secure messaging to ePrescribing, have been successful because of our understanding of physician and staff workflows," said Luis Machuca, president and CEO of Kryptiq. "eScriptMessenger is so easy to use and so well integrated into existing workflows that more GE Centricity EMR customers have implemented Kryptiq than any other ePrescribing solution."
