Covance's Clinical Pharmacology Business Receives Lilly's Global Supplier Award for the Second Consecutive Year

PRINCETON, N.J., May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Covance Inc. (NYSE: CVD) today announced that its clinical pharmacology business received Lilly's 2009 Global Supplier Award for its commitment to helping Lilly meet its corporate objectives. This was the second consecutive year Covance was recognized for outstanding customer service for its clinical pharmacology services. The Lilly Global Supplier Award acknowledges those key suppliers who contribute the best in innovation and technology towards Lilly's success.

Covance was judged by a committee of Lilly representatives on criteria including delivery of exemplary quality, service, speed, total cost reduction, supplier relationship management, and supplier diversity.
