Court Reporting is Recognized as a Top Job That Doesn't Require a Four-Year Degree
Date:7/13/2013

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) July 13, 2013

Court Reporter/Stenographer was recently named one of the top jobs in 2013. In an April 2013 article by CareerCast.com, court reporter/stenographer makes the list of top 100 jobs this year. Environment, income, stress and outlook are all factors in making the list as well as data from the U.S. Department of Labor and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The Court Reporting Institute is excited to offer programs in a field that is experiencing growth and demand,” said Darrell Joy, Regional Director at Court Reporting Institute. “There is a need for real-time live reporting, that technology alone cannot accomplish, and reporters are experiencing increased opportunities outside of legal proceedings.”

The Court Reporting Institute is currently enrolling for the new Voice Writing diploma programs. The Voice Writing diploma program is a 36-week course designed to provide students with the skills necessary to enter a career in court reporting and other related fields. Students are taught a variety of topics including legal terminology, computer-aided transcription, real-time translation, court reporting technology and procedures. Through the transcriptionist training program students develop experience in transcribing testimony, literary and jury charge dictation. This program is available to students who currently hold an associate’s degree.

The Court Reporting Institute is also enrolling students for its Electronic Evidence Discovery, Legal Assistant, Paralegal Studies, Voice Writing and CSR/RPR Exam Prep courses. For more information regarding the Court Reporting Institute, call 1-888-828-5308 or visit http://www.cri.edu.
