Brookdale Senior Living Improves Service and Efficiency by Automating Access Management for 8,000 Users

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Courion(R) Corporation, leaders in access management and compliance, today announced that Brookdale Senior Living, the nation's largest owner and operator of senior living communities, has deployed Courion's Enterprise Provisioning Suite to deliver and manage secure access to enterprise applications and other IT resources for 8,000 end users. Brookdale's enhanced identity and access management (IAM) framework has helped the company improve the quality of service to employees while simplifying compliance and maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of its technology and administrative staff.

Brookdale operates 550 senior living and retirement communities serving over 52,000 residents in a variety of settings. With its growth and normal employee turnover, the company was looking for a solution that would automate the administration-intensive tasks of creating, modifying, and disabling access for employees, which was previously done manually by as many as five full-time IT personnel.

The company's IT department received an average of 65 requests for new employee accounts on a daily basis, which typically required updating hundreds of applications and security points. Using Courion, Brookdale is able to automatically provision these requests. As a result, the c
