Providing counseling to families the past five years, Dr. Brunasso earned her doctorate in psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in 2012. A primary focus of her studies centered on the impact of chronic illness on sibling relationships and grief counseling; a topic Dr. Brunasso became acutely involved in during a five-year tenure at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald house. In addition to gaining valuable practical experience during her time at the non-profit, Dr. Brunasso had the opportunity to work with and experience firsthand families of children with severe and chronic illness. At her practice, she continues to specialize in marriage counseling, couples therapy and family counseling following a personal loss or struggle with long-term illness, while also working with individual clients seeking help with mood disorders, anxiety, therapy for depression and immediate crisis. Dr. Brunasso has been verified on Psychology Today and is a member of the faculty at the University of Southern California and formerly at CSPP. In addition to helping clients in the Glendale area, her practice serves those residing in La Canada-Flintridge, Pasadena, Altadena, Burbank and Hollywood.
