Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner Will Present Keynote Address at the 6th Annual California Workers' Comp Forum, October 29-31, 2008 in Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) September 10, 2008 -- Council on Education in Management (Council) announced that Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner will present a Keynote Address at the upcoming [California Workers' Comp Forum], October 29-31, 2008, taking place at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. This annual event features over 25 cutting-edge sessions, including enlightening keynote sessions, case study success stories, lively panel discussions, and interactive workshops that will focus on cost-containment solutions and straightforward answers to vital California workers' comp issues. Over 400 workers’ comp professionals from across the state have already registered to attend the 2008 event.

Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner will provide an update on the progress of the Department of Insurance, with emphasis on the critical issues impacting stakeholders in the [workers’ comp] system. He will focus on the initiatives that the Department has implemented this year and what goals have been identified for 2009.

The event has been approved for 12.5 credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Each half-day workshop has been approved for 2.75 credit hours.

The event has also been approved for 15 CEUs for insurance adjusters.
