Corbett Worldwide Scores Gold at the 2008 MM&M Awards

CHICAGO, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Corbett Worldwide Healthcare Communications, a leading advertising/promotions business unit of the Corbett Accel Healthcare Group, received a Gold award at the recent Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) Awards celebration, confirming that their creative MarketMovingIdeas(TM) capture not only their clients' attention but also the recognition of industry experts.

Corbett earned the Gold for the Best Professional Sales Aid with their Ballerina campaign for Alcon Laboratories' market leading intraocular lens, AcrySof IQ(R). "We were incredibly thrilled and honored to win Gold for the AcrySof IQ(R) sales visual," says Robin Shapiro, Corbett's Executive Creative Director. "We believe that our healthy collision of perspectives brings about fresher ideas that are more market moving by nature. The MM&M Awards celebrate creativity and proven market results, and this sales aid was an excellent demonstration of both."

MM&M is a leading business publication that has been serving the healthcare market since 1966. Each year, it holds an award ceremony to recognize exceptional creativity within the pharmaceutical arena. Judges consisting of an independent panel of representatives from all industry sectors selected the best of 24 categories from among a record 830 entries. The ceremony was held in October at Tavern on the Green in New York and attended by upwards of 750 healthcare executives.

Corbett also was honored as a finalist in the Best Individual Product Advertisement in Professional Press with both its Vigamox(R) Pink Eraser advertisement and the Vigamox(R) Drops advertisement. Vigamox(R) solution is Alcon's antibiotic used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis, more commonly known as "pink eye."
