Corbett Selected to Host the Only Midwest Global Awards Judging Competition
Date:9/4/2007

CHICAGO, Sept. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Corbett Worldwide Healthcare Communications has been selected to host the only Midwest Global Awards Judging Event in the U.S. Robin Shapiro, Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director for Corbett, will serve as the Host Judge. Corbett is the professional healthcare advertising business unit of the Corbett Accel Healthcare Group.

"This is a great honor," announced Elaine Eisen, President of Corbett. "The Global Awards is one of the most prestigious award programs in our industry."

The Global Awards honor the best in worldwide healthcare communications. Now in their 13th year, The Global Awards are recognized as the only awards program dedicated to healthcare communications on an international basis. Categories in The Global Awards extend over regional, national and continental boundaries. Participation in this year's Global Awards has come from more than 39 countries worldwide.

"The Global Awards set the industry standard for creative and marketing excellence around the world," noted Robin Shapiro, Executive Creative Director of Corbett. "I believe we should hold our creative ideas to international standards; some of the most surprising and compelling ideas in our industry come from outside the U.S."

The Midwest is recognized as a destination for clients seeking outstanding creative in the pharmaceutical space. "We believe this is due in large part to a unique, non-recycled talent pool," commented Eisen. "At Corbett, we take our approach to talent recruitment and development one step further by combining proven consumer and pharmaceutical brand builders. This healthy collision of talent results in very fresh ideas that change behavior and move market share."

The preliminary judging will occur Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the Corbett offices in Chicago. Winning entries in this event will move on to be judged as finalists in New York City. For more information on The Global Awards and
