Buy a Cookie, Save a Life
NEW YORK, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Cookie Magazine and Lord & Taylor will launch a nationwide initiative on September 13th with "Cookies for Kids' Cancer," to observe National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. "Cookies for Kids' Cancer" (cookiesforkidscancer.org) is a not-for-profit organization committed to finding new and improved treatments, and ultimately a cure, for pediatric cancer by raising money through the sale of their all-natural chocolate chip cookies and local grass-roots bake sales across the country.
Starting on September 13th, National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day, the organization's signature all-natural chocolate chip cookies will be available for purchase in the children's department of 46 Lord & Taylor stores, while supplies last. One hundred percent of each delicious $3 treat will go directly to help find a cure.
"Cookie is proud to support 'Cookies for Kids' Cancer' for its first national launch event," says Carolyn Kremins, publisher of Cookie. "We were thrilled to have Lord & Taylor as a partner for this important cause."
"We are delighted to provide Cookie Magazine a launching pad for 'Cookies for Kids' Cancer', says LaVelle Olexa, Lord & Taylor's Senior Vice President, Public Relations. "I cannot think of a better way to support the fight against pediatric cancer and mark National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month."
