Convera(R) Expands Advanstar OnLine Business to Vertical Search Covering Pharmaceutical Industry Applications

VIENNA, Va., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Convera Corporation (Nasdaq: CNVR) -- http://www.convera.com -- a leading provider of vertical search services for publishers, today announced its agreement with Advanstar Communications Inc., a leading worldwide media company, to develop a vertical search application for the pharmaceutical industry incorporating multiple existing Web sites.

Under a corporate-wide agreement to develop vertical search sites, Advanstar is also to develop sites in the veterinary, dental and off-road domains and in 2007 launched http://www.search-autoparts.com -- an Advanstar property for the auto aftermarket industry.
