ConvaTec Launches New Programs to Support and Recognize WOC Nursing
Date:6/5/2009

web site includes a comprehensive library of information, such as ostomy basics, patient support resources, detailed reimbursement information, case studies, image library and printable literature. Interactive tools include a community section, educational events and web casts.

In addition to supporting the specific needs of WOC nurses, ConvaTecLINK(TM) is designed to support all healthcare professionals who care for ostomy patients. Included as part of the site will be resources to help the WOC nurse or educator train and educate staff nurses in all areas of ostomy care as it relates to ConvaTec products.

ConvaTecLINK(TM) demonstrates the same kind of dedication to service and support as ConvaTec's Customer Interaction Center (CIC), one of the longest running resources of its kind for wound, ostomy and continence care professionals. Now staffed by 21 certified WOC nurses, the CIC has extended its hours of operations to Monday-Thursday 8:30am-8:00pm, Friday 8:30am-6:00 pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.

The online resource for nurses also is linked to LifeEmbrace,(TM) a patient support program for people with an ostomy as they journey through recovery. The LifeEmbrace(TM) program provides seamless hospital-to-home support for patients after surgery, and beyond.

For more information on ConvaTecLINK(TM), please visit www.convateclink.com, and for the Great Comebacks(R) Program, please visit www.greatcomebacks.com.
