ConvaTec Launches New Programs to Support and Recognize WOC Nursing

Comprehensive Resources for Ostomy Care Nurses Now Available Online

SKILLMAN, N.J., June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- ConvaTec, a world-leading developer and marketer of innovative medical technologies for community and hospital care, announced the launch of ConvaTecLINK(TM), an online, interactive community and resource. The resource will be dedicated to practice solutions for ostomy healthcare providers and will be unveiled at the 41st Annual Conference of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society.

Also at the meeting, ConvaTec and WOCN will announce the launch of the WOC Nurse Great Comebacks(R) Award, a new recognition honoring a WOC nurse who has been instrumental in helping one of their patients achieve a "great comeback" after ostomy surgery. This new award will be bestowed annually as part of the Great Comebacks(R) Program, sponsored by ConvaTec in partnership also with the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, United Ostomy Associations of America, the Intestinal Diseases Education and Awareness Society, and the Youth Rally.
