Contract Research Organization WCCT Global Announces Overwhelming Success of Pediatric Clinical Study Recruitment
Date:4/26/2013

Costa Mesa, CA (PRWEB) April 26, 2013

Contract Research Organization, WCCT Global, announced their overwhelming success in recruitment for multiple pediatric clinical studies today. In the past, recruiting for pediatric clinical studies was difficult to execute because there were very limited ways to establish relationships with the parent population groups. The main difficulty was first locating the children and then having to gain the trust of the parents. In order to gain the trust of the parents, we had to then educate them on what a clinical trial is. Usually, this process could take months and the interactions were mostly over the phone. These difficulties have become significantly reduced due to WCCT Global’ s Recruitment Management Tool (RMT).

A good example of WCCT Global’ s RMT success was on the most recent completed pediatric study. The study required randomizing 14 children between the ages of 11-17 who suffer from Allergic Rhinitis. The study had strict criteria and required multiple PK draws in a 24-hour period over two confinement periods. WCCT Global was able to fully locate and randomize all 14 pediatric subjects using their RMT process. WCCT Global’s Site Director Lester Galan stated, “the speed and retention of the recruitment for this study can be reflected on the power of our recruitment process.” The recruitment efforts for any study are one of the most important aspects to conducting a clinical study. Pediatric clinical study recruitment has become extremely efficient due to the recruitment marketing tactics of WCCT Global.
