Consumers' Research Council of America Names Pediatrician Michael Y. Wu, MD, MBA as One of 'America's Top Pediatricians'

NAPLES, Fla., April 9, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Michael Y. Wu has been named again one of "America's Top Pediatricians" for 2008 by the Consumers' Research Council of America, an independent Washington, DC-based research organization that provides information guides for consumers for professional services throughout the United States.

The Consumers' Research Council of America compiled the list of top pediatricians by using a point value system. The criteria include experience, training, education, professional associations and board certification. No fees, donations, sponsorships or advertising are accepted to ensure an unbiased selection.

Michael Y. Wu, MD, MBA, CPE, FAAP is the Medical Director of EPN - KidCare, a pediatric urgent care within the emergency department at the NCH - North Collier Hospital (http://www.nchmd.org). The pediatric urgent care opens from 4pm to 11pm weekdays and 11am to 11pm weekends, serving pediatric patients from newborn to age 15.

Dr. Michael Wu has over fifteen years clinical practice experience. He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Miami, and conducted his pediatric residency at the University of Miami / Jackson Medical Center in Miami. Dr. Wu is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics (http://www.abp.org) and holds an academic appointment at the University of Miami - Miller School of Medicine and Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Wu also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida and he was awarded the designation of Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management (http://www.ccmm.org).
