SARASOTA, Fla., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL) will experience the vital and expanding role laboratory testing plays in patient care during a tour of the clinical laboratory facilities at Sarasota Pathology and Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Pathologists James White, MD and Robert Spencer, MD will host the tour for Congressman Buchanan, starting at Sarasota Pathology's laboratory at 10:30 am and continuing at Sarasota Memorial's laboratory at 11:15 am.

Dr. White said the tour will highlight important trends in diagnostic healthcare and will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the critical role medical laboratories provide in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
