Compirion Joins the Fight Against Child Abuse
Date:9/1/2009

ELM GROVE, Wis., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Compirion Healthcare Solutions is joining other concerned citizens in their efforts to prevent child abuse. During the month of September, Compirion is sponsoring a series of Public Service Announcements developed to raise awareness of the devastating effects of abuse and neglect on our most vulnerable. Each year, over one million children suffer and more than two thousand die at the hands of those who are entrusted with their care. The psychological impact and the physical pain inflicted on them stays with them their entire lives. The staff at Compirion Healthcare Solutions is urging anyone who knows of a child who needs help to immediately contact local authorities. The PSAs are running from August 31, through September 11 on WJYI-AM, 1340 in southeast Wisconsin.

In June of this year, Compirion sponsored a series of PSAs for local blood banks, citing the current shortages and increasing need for safe, healthy blood.
