Compirion Hosts Free Webinar on Achieving JCAHO-Compliant Quality Outcomes

ELM GROVE, Wis., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- A webinar on JCAHO Emergency Department Core Measures: Achieving Successful Quality Outcomes is being presented by Compirion Healthcare Solutions to aid Hospital Emergency Departments in instituting treatment standards as defined by the Joint Commission, for AMI, CHA and CAP patients. Compliance with JCAHO Core Measures produces better outcomes for the patient while assuring maximum MSI reimbursement to the hospital. Hospital quality ratings are posted for the general public to view and compare hospitals in their community and across the country, to help them make informed decisions regarding their care. This webinar is geared to Emergency Department Managers, Clinicians and Performance Improvement Departments. JCAHO Emergency Department Core Measures is part of a series of six webinars that help hospitals achieve excellence in patient care. The full list of webinars can be found at, along with times, dates and registration information.

Webinar presenter Lisa Bodell has led many successful hospital improvement projects as Project Manager since joining Compirion Healthcare Solutions. She is currently engaged in a house-wide improvement project at Duke University Hospital in Durham, South Carolina, where she is working with hospital personnel on improving Patient Throughput and Satisfaction.

Before joining Compirion Healthcare Solutions, Bodell was the Emergency Department Manager at the VA Medical Center in North Chicago, Illinois, where she developed the Emergency Department from the ground up and was a recipient of the Nurse of the Year award. Bodell held various management positions and worked as an Emergency Department Charge Nurse at several medical facilities in the Midwest. Bodell holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Compirion's presenters are drawn from its pool of consultants, which includes registered nurses, former C-level executives, physicians, business managers and clinicians. The webinars are running through September and average about 45 minutes each, with a question-and-answer session at the end.

According to Compirion management, "We are presenting this series of free webinars because we truly believe that efficiency in the hospital, especially the ED, not only saves time and money, it saves lives.
