CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass Group North America of Charlotte, NC, announces the completion of its acquisition of Harwood Heights, Illinois-based KIMCO Corporation, a provider of support services operating mainly in the business & industry sector. Through the acquisition, KIMCO becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Compass Group North America under Eurest Services, a division of Compass Group North America focused on delivering support services to the business & industry sector. The transaction was finalized on Wednesday, December 31, 2008.

The acquisition will enable Eurest Services to better serve existing and future dining services customers through its expanded national presence. Crothall Services Group, the sister company of Eurest Services, will continue its focus on the healthcare sector.
