Community Hospital System Integrates Patient Data with Orion Health

Southern Oregon's Asante Health System looks to the Rhapsody Integration Engine to provide a new and advanced platform to migrate, manage and streamline message exchange from legacy systems and make that information accessible from the facility's electronic medical record solution.

Santa Monica, Calif. (PRWEB) August 11, 2009 -- Asante Health System, based in Medford, Oregon, has selected the Orion Health™ Rhapsody® Integration Engine to help create an integrated clinical record for physician access between its two main facilities. Rhapsody will provide Asante with a new and advanced platform to migrate, manage and streamline message exchange from legacy systems and make that information accessible from the facility's electronic medical record (EMR) solution.

Kate Amidei, Project Manager, Asante Health System, said the organization decided to seek the most innovative technology solution when it was obvious their current integration engine, Sun SeeBeyond eGate™, was reaching the end of its life.

"We looked at a number of different interface engines before selecting Rhapsody and considered criteria including monitoring tools, troubleshooting capabilities and vendor support. Because we were moving from an older technology foundation, the migration path was especially important and Orion Health's migration services were an important factor in our decision," said Ms. Amidei.
