higher.

“It became clear to me very quickly that Depiction is the perfect tool for relaying real-time situation reports, not only in a traditional one-to-one method, but with a one-to-many approach that keeps all agencies involved abreast of the current situation.”

Capt. Kim Buike served 27 years in the Navy, commanding a destroyer in the Persian Gulf and the Navy's most modern shore facility, Naval Station Everett before retiring in 2003. Captain Buike is also a Red Cross volunteer and serves in the local County Emergency Operations Center as a Red Cross Liaison during community disasters. As Depiction Inc.’s Customer Engagement Director, he has been instrumental in the development of Depiction.

Depiction allows everyday users to combine data and images both from online sources and their own computer, creating dynamic, interactive maps and simulations. These "depictions" can be saved, stored emailed and used--even offline. Depiction has been used by government agencies, volunteers, and non-profit organizations to coordinate response during Hurricanes Gustav and Ike in the Gulf Coast, in wildfires in California, and many other disasters across the country. Visit the Depiction website today to purchase Depiction and the APRS add-on, to check out example scenarios for applications such as sharing situational awareness, or to develop your own scenarios.
