The webinar will be hosted by Capt. Kim Buike, (USN ret.), who, in addition to being Depiction, Inc.’s Customer Engagement Director, is an active Red Cross volunteer. The idea for preparing these resources grew out of his experience assisting with local H1N1 vaccine clinics last month.

“The traditional information sharing systems used in most situations like this have many weaknesses,” Buike observed. “Situation reports are typically relayed on a one-to-one basis over phone, email or radio, then written on a whiteboard or told verbally to the responsible parties. This works to a certain extent, but when multiple people provide and receive multiple reports, the risk of misstating or mishearing something is high and the risk of different people having conflicting information is even
