Community Eldercare Services LLC Deploys Voice-Assisted Care to Revolutionize Care Across Its 20-Facility Enterprise
Date:10/9/2008

Voice-assisted care will direct more time to resident care, deliver higher levels of documentation accuracy, and increase staff productivity through

the ability to multitask

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Vocollect Healthcare Systems, Inc. announces that Community Eldercare Services LLC, headquartered in Tupelo, Mississippi, will deploy AccuNurse(R) voice-assisted care as part of its strategic initiative to deliver the utmost in resident-centered care. As part of its implementation, all 20 of Community Eldercare Services' facilities in Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana -- comprising more than 1,000 caregivers -- will be empowered with voice to care for residents.

Community Eldercare Services expects the investment in voice-assisted care to take quality of care to new levels of performance by enabling more proactive care, increasing productivity of its direct care team and providing more time for direct resident care throughout its 1,750-bed enterprise.

According to Troy Baumann, chief operating officer of Community Eldercare Services, "With the exception of AccuNurse voice-assisted care, all of the technology solutions that are centered on documentation and communication are either conducted with handheld or wall-mounted peripherals. We love the hands-free nature of AccuNurse for increased productivity and multitasking. We also like the fact that our caregivers will get resident-specific care plan updates throughout the day, which enables efficient delivery of more personalized care for our residents. No other product on the market today captures the entire care process and helps caregivers manage that process throughout each day. AccuNurse is exactly what we've been searching for and we believe it will revolutionize care within our facilities. It's like having a manager in your ear, keeping you on track throughout the day. It will exponentially increase the level of care we provide."
