DETROIT, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Get your golf clubs ready! The Children's Center 24th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic is just around the corner on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the Birmingham Country Club.

The day is sure to be fun and rewarding with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the official shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Highlights of the event include delicious food and drinks out on the course, a cocktail reception, entertainment and dinner. This year's celebrity host is Detroit Pistons superstar, Chauncey Billups. He will be onsite officially kicking off the event and will be available for interviews. Chauncey will be joined with past and present celebrities from the NFL, NBA, NHL, local TV personalities and many more recognizable faces. You don't want to miss any of the day's fun and excitement. The goal of The Children's Center is to reach out to children of Metro Detroit and give them the tools to empower themselves to live up to the potential that lies in each of them.
