Comdata Inc. to Present During AHIP’s Operations and Technology Forum 2013
Date:11/18/2013

Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) November 18, 2013

Comdata Inc., a leading business-to-business provider of innovative electronic payment solutions, will be participating in an educational session during this year’s America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Operations and Technology Forum. The session, taking place on Tuesday, November 19 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. CST, will examine the advantages of virtual payments made using trusted credit card networks.

“As 2014 marks a new direction for claims reimbursement in healthcare, the time is now to educate our peers on the value of virtual payments,” says Ragui Selwanes, Comdata senior vice president. “The Operations and Technology Forum is the venue to learn the strategies, tools, and solutions to guide attendees into 2014 and beyond, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to the important discussion on how healthcare payments will be facilitated.”

During the event, Landon Gordon, Comdata vice president will discuss how electronic payments have been overdue in healthcare, and with provisions written into the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the frequency of their use stands to increase significantly over the next several months. While the ACA lays out operating rules and standards for automated clearing house (ACH) transactions, health plans are being presented with several other tools to submit reimbursements electronically. During this presentation, Landon will be joined by Chris Wyatt, director of the Emdeon Payment Network, to examine the advantages of virtual payments made using trusted credit card networks.
